We have fire works available on a parish by parish basis. (county to you) Out lawed in large towns and can get it in country.
State out laws some types.
First to go was the big stuff years ago like M-80's. A few years ago they did away with bottle rockets because of roof fires. Need to go to Miss. to get them now. Bigger rockets and ground things are still available here.
The sad thing of out lawing fire works; and dumb a$$es needing to make noise is they now use guns. Guess it makes more noise if you point it at the sky instead of ground because we have had several people killed over past few years from falling bullets.
