Steve, Unless the laws have been change in the last couple years that I am unaware of, in the state of Oregon, on private property during the comission of a felony, you can use deadly force. Burglery in the first degree is a felony. I am not advocating shooting someone that is committing a felony but that is the law.I really feel for the parent of the young man that lost his life for being stupid and disrespectful of other peoples property. Having lost 2 boys at the early age of 22, I can really feel their heartache and their lose. May God be with them and ease their sorrow. I pray for them. Just my input
