Bill, Have you thought about taking the Missus on a long weekend getaway, with all the trimmings just about a week before you pull into the yard with a toy? She may still give you the why and whatfor's, but the previous weekend's gesture should be fresh enough in her mind that when you mention it, she may mellow right out. Its when they think you are spending money for yourself and ignoring them that creates the animosity.
