Reliable source? Shall we add battery, generator/alternator, shunts for gauges/gauge lights (J C Whitney sells them), cigar lighter, etc. If you have a gas engine, the ignition coil. I did not add starter as most of them will take 12V as long as you don't grind them for more than a few seconds. I would also strongly suggest you have a service manual with wiring diagram on hand.
