I must be so off my rocker I'm seeing things. I haven't seen any more than 6.2 volts of all the times I've checked at the battery. I had to use it today and figured I'd have to run home and change the battery with a spare on the charger. 15 miles and leaving the job didn't appeal to me. Ran the dang thing all gay and it fires every time, even the times I had to make several attempts due to almost non existant cranking. It's not the best battery. Any way, I'm stumped on what to due other than keep running it. ??? Is there any way I can see a charge voltage lower than the engine off battery battery voltage? This is what's happening. Get a 6.2 +/- at the battery, start it and read a couple tenths lower with a good rpm. Thanks for the help fellas.
