The way I remember it, in the late stages of "Operation Desert Storm", George Sr. had the Kurds in the north and the Shiites in the south all reved up to overthrow Sadam. Then he suddenly pulled out and left them to Sadam's revenge. Sadam proceeded to slaughter both groups by the thousands, which was why the U.N. instituted the "No Fly Zones" in the northern and southern parts of the country. If I had been in their place, I definately would have felt betrayed!
