My brother and I are in the process of rebuilding a Kohler 20 horse Magnum for my Simplicity Lawn Tractor. After clearancing the valve lash. We turned the engine over by hand and there is a slight ticking sound. On cylinder 2. When the exhaust valve closes it ticks and when the intake just opens it ticks. We unhooked the springs and keepers to eliminate some possibilities and when we did that. It quit ticking. Honestly saying. I can't remember if it did this before I tore it apart or not. My question is this... Anyone ever come across the same problem? And if so... What was done to fix it? If it's nothing more than a minor annoyance as noise goes. I can live with that. If it's serious. Then I will get it fixed. Thanks in Advance -Matt-
