There�s really no �easy� way. You could accomplish it by removing the rear cover (carries the brush holders), rotating it exactly 90 deg and putting it back on. But this requires rerouting/reconnecting the heavy copper bus straps between the field windings and the ungrounded brusholders, drilling new holes in the cover for the thru bolts and probably grinding off a locating pin. Keep in mind you�ll also need a complete new starter drive (either bendix or overrunning clutch assembly) for the opposite rotation.

You�re probably better off buying the right starter - and maybe trade the one you�ve got as core...
