My owners manual for my IH 2444 says to thin 30W oil with kerosene in the winter !?? So much for manufacturers recommendations..
Any excuse is good to void a warranty. From the dipstick on a new chrysler transmission dipstick. "use of any fluid except chrysler xxxxxx fluid will void warranty." No Dexron III or anything like that only a Chrysler part number. Good for expensive tranny fluid sales and for getting out of warranty repairs.
