Bees Took Up Residence In My Tractor ...Help!!!

Went out this evening to work on my old tractor to find that bees had built a nest/hive somewhere in the space between the hood and gas tank. Every little tap or movement on the tractor results in aggravating them and a small contingent of sentrys are sent out to see what I'm up to. They look like a honey bee and are definitely not a yellow jacket. I can not see the nest to spray it but can easily hear them buzzing when I disturb them. How do I get rid of them when I can't see them? Anyone have any ideas or am I going to have to wait till the first frost to get rid of them?
