Gotta go with the guy up tords the top. I went the pickup route, and while they are handy for different work roles, for pulling and heavy loads, you can't beat a single axle semi truck, and you can pick them up for a song. I have a 1995 White/Volvo with a 430 hp detroit engine, 9 speed transmission, air ride axle, air ride cab, single sleeper ( for the over night trips, or whatever), and that way I can pull an air brake trailer, and if you have about four tractors on there and Mildred and the girls pull out in front of you, you reach up with your left hand, grab a hand full of air horn, bury your right foot on the brake, and you can stop without getting blue hair dye all over your front bumper. I picked this truck up for $7500.00, and the air cond. works, it has power windows, power steering, diesel is about 20 cents a gallon cheaper than gas, and I can haul a LOAD and get 8-10 miles to the gallon and like the other feller said, you sit up where you can see, and you have a ball being a little above everybody else. It's great for hauling hay too. Been the electric brake route, and if you guys ever pulled air brakes, the electric brake trailors would all be sitting in the back of the lot rusting down. You don't have to constantly be changing the adjusment on the brakes from loaded to empty, you just step down and you stop. Speaking from experience, most of it the hard way, Harley
