You are getting allot more truck now than in the past. Plus figure inflation since 1970. Four wheel disks, over drive transmissions, smooth ride instead of a bouncing stone boat, air bags, anti-lock brakes, improved crash/fire protection good mileage, entertainment systems to keep the kids from fighting, comfy seats. I tried fixing up a 95 but with inept machine shop and shop work am working on engine #6. Had I known I could have traded for a new 91 at the time. Spent the same money and still had something half decent. Instead of a worn out 95 money pit.
