Did your supplier have anything that was straight nitrate nitrogen, like Bulldog nitrate of soda (sodium nitrate) or possibly calcium nitrate? If he did, then you could have gotten half a ton of each and mixed it 50/50. That would get you closer to what you used in the past; you would end up with like approximately 15-0-23. Actually if you mixed it 2 to 1 you would end up with almost the identical ratio as the 20-0-20, except it would be 15-0-15, so you would have to use a little higher rate.
