I can't stand it anymore.......Now listen fellows. First things first. Yes the 2010 was a fake. It was a gutless tractor and drinks it's fair share in fuel. But let's get the facts straight. I don't know what the heck the 2010 with the broken housings was used for but our family farms has had a farmhand loader on it since we bought it new back in the 60's. No housing breakage yet. As far as being hard to kick in the pto. What are you talking about? Realize that the engine has to be running on this tractor to engage the pto otherwise you'll shear off a pin down inside and that's no fun to replace. 3010's?? Those are not a tractor to brag about either. The gassers were fuel guzzler's as well along with vapor locking consistently. Not to mention never starting in the wintertime. I also seem to remember grandfather saying something about the diesels in them also being a fake. 1010's and 4010's I know nothing about so I can't agree or argue but I know for a fact that an 820 or 830 did not have a 3 banger motor. Let's try 2. and the pony motor......well can't even remember that one for sure. To the fellow that originally started this post. Here's some sound advice. If the tractor is cheap bounce on it. A 2010 is already got some value along with a tricycle front end makes it worth more. Our 2010 today is worth as much if not more than what we paid for it new and it's on it's 3rd overhaul right now which by the way to put that sleeve assembly in and have the o-rings stay into place and not roll on you takes prayer and holding your tongue just right. Have fun hobby farming and good luck............

Today's Featured Article - Field Modifications (Sins of the Farmer) - by Staff. Picture a new Chevrolet driving down the street without it's grill, right fender and trunk lid. Imagine a crude hole made in the hood to accommodate a new taller air cleaner, the fender wells cut away to make way for larger tires, and half of a sliding glass door used to replace the windshield. Top that off with an old set of '36 Ford headlight shells bolted to the hood. Pretty unlikely for a car... but for a tractor, this is pretty normal. It seems that more often than not they a ...
