Selig, Id what I said is not "Totally true", tell me what isnt, and why. I bet you cant. BTW, I was a machinist for over 30 yrs, and a CNC machinist/programmer for 20. I will tell you that without a doubt that I would have never gotten as far as I did had I worked in a Union shop, because while I took it upon myself to learn CNC's and programming while others in my age group looked at them as a threat to their jobs, I didn't have the seniority to advance in a union shop, whereas in a non-union culture, I advanced, not by cronyism, but by hard work and superior skill level. Unions insist on promoting through seniority first regardless of skill level, which is dead wrong.
