And since you seem to need some background info to validate a view... I will preface my post by stating.. Yes, I have mastered the Playstation, Playstation II, Nintendo, Nintendo 64, and Gamecube! {I have 2 sons that I have to keep up with!} Also, I have lived in the "Big City" {South-Central St. Louis [Compton Heights area]}, and other large cities for several years, and I have MANY relatives living in big cities all over the US and NZ. I have been back on the "homeplace" {and farming} for 20 years now.

That all said... Yes, the native city folks {those born and raised in the cities} are VERY ignorant of country life! They have a right to move to the country; bid $5K to $10K+ per acre for ground that would otherwise sell for $2.5K per acre or less; drive their fancy cars and "sport" pickups on the roads... but they do not have the right demand we farmers change the way we do business, or become aggrievated because "we" inconveinience them with our farming. There is no "right to farm" or county zoning ordinances in this county. But, I sometimes wonder if that is the way that things are headed because of the imposition that we "country folks" seem to be to all the city folks that move to our area.

I have witnessed first hand the moronic attitudes and smug snottyness of the city folks. Not all city folks are smug and moronic... but there are enough to establish a pattern!

Also, Yes, I feel that I am trespassing when I go to town and drive 35 in a 35MPH zone and I have folks honk at me because they want to drive 45MPH! They honk at me and "flip me off because my ol' pickup stops, at all stop signs. They shake their fists at me because I let some littl ol' lady pull out from a blind intersection as a courtesy... City folks look at me weird when I hand back the extra money that the cashier overpayed me or because I come back into the storer and pay for an item that they forgot to "ring up." Am I trespassing into their world... YUP!
