You sounded to me like you were trying to get advice on how to get this stuff done. You were not asking what you should have done, or what you should do if you had lots of money. With this in mind, I would suggest buying the new breather and ask how to install it, or ask if they have a book which would guide you through the installation. The transmission whine would indicate to me that you should first check the transmission oil level. The front wheel problem would seem to require bending parts back to their original shape or replacing more parts, again using the above suggested manual. I wish I didn't understand having to use what you have, but I have many times had to get by with junk, replacing was financially impossible. Sorry for being so long winded. Good luck.
