Remove the 4 bolts and shaft assembly should pull out with the retainer. Only time I know of when this won't work is if the shaft is twisted by the pump and the splines won't slide thru. If such is the case you may have to torch the shaft off inside the tractor nad remove the hyd. pump. Search the archives on the Ferguson and 9N Ford boards or repost your question on the Ferguson board. Good luck.
