What is your experence?

I saw an ad the other day of a tractor I thought I may be interested in. I emailed the seller a couple of questions but have not received a reply. I have had several other no replys over the last few months (nothing wrong with my email since I do get other replys). I can't figure out why people don't respond if they are trying to sell something. If they already sold the item they could reply. How long does it take to reply "sold" to an email (but not sure this is the case since I have received no reply.) Since this has happened multiple times to me I was curious if this happens to others.
