I went to an auction over the weekend here in central missouri and thought people might like to see the prices that tractors are going for here. It was a consignment from individuals held by a local knights of columbus. The best part about it was they sell beer!! It was disappointing to see 12 tractors for sale and 9 went down as "no sale" because the owner refused the highest bid. The 3 that sold were a 1950 Ferguson TO20 in fair shape with brush hog...$2050. A 1972 International 354 utility in excellant shape...$5,000. A 1968 Minneapolis-Moline G1000 Vista in good shape $5500!! I couldn't believe such a large tractor for that money. It only had 349hrs on an engine rebuild with new seals/fluid througout the rear end and transmission. What didn't sell was a 1953 Minneapolis-Moline BF with wfe/3pt excellant shape $1900 high bid....owner wanted $2400. Massey Harris 44...good shape...tricycle front end/3pt...2 new rear tires...300hrs on engine overhaul...$1600 high bid....owner didn't reveal how much $ he wanted. Farmall H...good shape...$1400 high bid....owner didn't reveal how much he wanted. Farmall B...good shape...2 new rear tires..$950...no sale. Farmall Cub... excellant/restored..4 new tires...$1300 hi bid.. owner wanted $1800. Case 1212...good shape... only 2635 original hrs with 1 owner...$2900 no sale. Ford 4000..fair shape/new paint...$2500 no sale. Ford 7600...fair shape...$9000 no sale. Allis D17 Series IV...fair...snap couple/3pt...loader...came with 3 pieces of snap couple equipment...disc...blade..2bottom plow.. no sale $4800 hi bid. I just went to watch but had great success at other auctions picking up a 3pt reversable dirt scoop for $45 and a 6ft blade for $130.

New Hitches For Your Old Tractor - by Chris Pratt. For this article, we are going to make the irrational and unlikely assumption that you purchased an older tractor that is in tip top shape and needs no immediate repairs other than an oil change and a good bath. To the newcomer planning to restore the machine, this means you have everything you need for the moment (something to sit in the shop and just look at for awhile while you read the books). To the newcomer that wants to get out and use the machine for field work, you may have already hit a major roadblock. That is the dreaded "proprietary hitch". With the exception of the
