Mahindra (India) is supposed to be the world's largest ( in number) manufacture of tractors. India is very protectionist( we should be more than we are) and won't import goods & services. They will only manufacture "foreign" goods under license in country. India is the source of these Deere 5003 econo tractors as Deere couldn't get a piece of that market by any other way. They are not made in the US. The 5000 20 series and 4100 compact are assembled in the US. The 5000 05 series tractor is bolted together in the US as well. It's my 1st choice as a utility tractor in a MFWD. I'm not certain but it maybe related more to the excellent but discontinued 55 series from Mannheim Germany than the 5000 20 series. That 6603 looks similar to a 3155 Mannheim as well, not a problem at all if it is.
