Mine was perfectly innocent. I was going to drive the tractor home at age 11 (backroads only- about 3 miles)- mom wasn't happy about the idea. About halfway home, I spied a great looking blackberry bush, just loaded. Picked enough to fill my hat, looking forward to a great pie. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Mom was sure I was lying paralyzed in a ditch, and was mounting a search party as I came cruising in. The reception for me and the berries was a little chilly, but she did finally thaw out enough to make the pie.
