I'll agree with 49cubber. My PSD doesn't need a chip and I pull 28K GCW at times. Try pulling by maximum torque RPM or 1600RPM on the 7.3. I averaged 14.1mpg on a recent 3800 mile trip pulling 16K GCW from 2000ft to 11000ft. I had no power problems at all. T_Bone
