I did as you suggested last night. I've got a good flow of gas to the carb. I took the carb off and its soaking in gas right now - it was real dirty and I wanted to clean off the outside before taking it apart. Question - should I take off the bowl of the carb and spray inside with carb cleaner or whats the best way to clean it?

If the carb cleaning doesn't work, then I'll take a look at the distributor. The tractor does start like a new one though, every thime, so maybe thats not the problem but worth a look if the carb fix doesn;t work.
