I have a 1968 Case 730 gas with 6000 plus tach hours, uses a quart in about 100 hours with no overhaul. My brother has a 1967 Case 730 gas with over 8000 tach hours with no overhaul. You are right though, we used to think a little over 3000 hours on a gas tractor was about it.
