I go to eBay almost every day, seeking out parts for my '51 and '52 International pickup trucks. I've found that, even with places like BinderBooks online, people will bid CRAZY amounts of money on owners' and service manuals, and once in awhile on parts books, too. But SOME stuff goes for reasonable prices. So know what you want to bid, bid that amount, and then leave it alone. If you get outbid by $1, that's STILL $1 more than you intended to pay. What I'd warn about are sellers who don't list shipping and handling charges, saying something like "buyer only pays actual shipping"...then the seller decides ON HIS OWN to ship Fed Ex NEXT DAY AIR!!! Had that happen ONCE on a PayPal auction; once bitten, twice shy. Now I ask BEFORE I bid.
