You know i'm not really one to jump into things and everyone is entitled to there opinion BUT it seems to me that if 6 volt was SOOO wonderful and worked so well why did EVERY major manufacturer of vehicles switch to 12 volt systems personally i'm not old enough to have been around a "new" 6 volt system but a very good friend bought a jd 40 brand new in '55 6 volt and said that if it was cold or wet or anything else adverse it would need to be jumped or bump started just my .02 mike
