We have people here blaming politicians, steel mills, Federal Reserve, etc for manufacturing going to China and tech jobs going to India but lets get some reality here. Manufacturing is going to China because nobody can compete with 35 cents per hour, no workmans comp, retirement or any other benefit. Also, China has been considered a third world country and doesn't worry about environmental controls. Many companies are state owned and pay no taxes. No way can we compete. Further, most people want every thing for the lowest price. Same goes for tech jobs in India. Their wages are 25% of ours and they are well educated. We graduate 30,00 engineers a year and Asia graduates 300,000, many in our universities. You can blame everone else but we are doing it to ourselves.
