Scrap prices

There is a thread down below, posted by someone who is going to scrap out his tractors because they are worth more this way than as a whole tractor. A word of caution here, the reason that scrap prices are so high is because the price of new steel has gone through the roof, which means that the price of NEW tractors and farm equipment in general will be going up up up. This also means that the value of the older, used farm equipment is sky rocketing, any of you who have been to recent farm auctions know this is true. What I am saying here is don't be too quick to take the torch to your older stuff, it soon will be worth more as a complete unit than it is now for scrap.
