All is not done or it would start!! Presumably, you have fuel and it is an ignition (spark) problem? As we do not know what you have actually done, it is difficult to suggest a solution. If you are using the original coil you will need a suitable ballast resistor in series in the supply. These are normally bypassed at start position on the starter switch for better spark energy at cold cranking voltage from the battery. If you have used a 12 volt coil, a ballast resistor in the circuit would not be appropriate. If you subject a 6 volt coil to 12 volt supply for too long, you might fry it or even burn up the contact points. From your post I haven't really a clue as to whether you have fitted a different generator, regulator, or even changed polarity with an alternator generator, whether you have changed anything on the ignition side, or what. Don't forget to change any bulbs to 12 volt rating and don't foget to fit 12 spark plugs at the same time (OK - just joking!!). Regards, RAB

The Nuts and Bolts of Fasteners - Part 2 - by Curtis Von Fange. In our previous article we discussed capscrews, bolts, and nuts along with their relative hardness and thread sizes. In this segment we will finish up on our fasteners and then work with ways to keep them from loosening up in the field. Capscrews, bolts and nuts are not the only means of holding two parts together. When dealing with thinner metals like sheet tin, a long bolt and
