I'm no expert but if you are going to paint with a brush then you don't need to use thinner or reducer. Reducer is used to reduce the thickness of paint so you can spray it on thru a gun. Wheb I touch up using JD paint I don't reduce it but I do use the hardner.
If I'm off base here I'm sure one of the experts will jump in.
