In my ol' neck of the woods of western Kansas, few farmers ever had an 8N or say a John Deere A. Farms just simply did not have small utility tractors. For that matter it was very rare for a farmer to have a tractor that had a 3pt. system until the mid 1960s.

I have yet to see an 8N sell for less than $1500 and I have been through the 1980s. I sure would have had one if I could have bought it for $500.
