I had this exact thing happen to a friend of mine. He put an engine oil flush into his engine. It really cleaned out the engine, and put all that gunk into the oil pan. All that gunk was sucked up by the oil pickup, which was then hopelessly clogged. We dropped the pan and replaced the oil-pump pickup, but the engine never really held oil pressure quite the same as it did before flushing.
