Water in Hydraulic System

Hello All,
I have an older machine that I believe has water in the hydraulic system. The system holds 17 gallons of fluid and I would hate to have to drain the entire system if I do not have to. Any suggestions on any additives that can be added which would dry up any water in the system? For example: like what they make for gas tanks -dry gas. Or any other methods to get the water out of the system??? Thanks for any suggestions and replies, Don
