I work for a computer company that sells software to many former heavy equipment operators. One piece of equipment we sell makes a series of four beeps when you plug it in. I always say "listen for four beeps". Most of the time I can hear the beeps though the phone, and most of my customers say "No beeps". It's funny but sad. If you want to be wearing a hearing aid, not to mention irritate your neighbors, go right ahead. I'm just glad we don't have anyone like that living next to me. I know the type....the deafer they get, the louder they turn it up.
