More Genius at the Helm

I have a '62 blue Ford 4000 GAS and a '64 blue Ford 2000 DIESEL. Need I say more? I bought the diesel tractor before I bought the gas. To differentiate red GAS cans from red DIESEL cans, I sprayed a spot of Ford blue on the diesel cans (like in Ford blue)so that I would remember that it went into the blue tractor. The fuel filler is in the center of the hood over the engine and I had a 5 gallon can of "fuel" sitting up there draining. After it was about half empty I realized that even though the tractor was blue, the hood was WHITE. Ford, in those days distinguished the 4000 from the 2000 by a decal and a WHITE HOOD. The can had BLUE paint squirted on it.................................... I got it out and after awhile things returned to normal, but had it been the other way, don't know what would have been the outcome. I sure felt stupid!
