The smartest thing, would probably be to leave it as it is. You might be suprised at how greatful your children, grandchildred, great-grandchildren etc, would be that you had a little foresight as to consider them.
It probably would prove even more profitable to market it as recreational land,than mess it up for farming. There just isn't that much profit in farming.
The days of fanatical farmers blowing aside all of what is here, because they are worried about what there arcaic farming neighbors will say are gone.
As farmers it does us a lot more good to think a little more about our image, if we expect to get others to listen to us about more important things.
