I just paid 50 bucks to have a hyd cylinder for my backhoe ob the 8n rebuilt.. Guy told me that I shouldnt tighten the nut that the seal is under all the way down,, just tighten it till the leak stops,, this is a adjustment in the packing and if it is cranked all the way down to start with then there is no adjustment...Jim
