You have to compair the 47 & up B to the Farmall H, the 46 & down compair to the Farmall C in size, I grew up with a 41 Farmall H and a 49 John Deere B, I prefered the B for most uses, that 5th gear comes in mighty handy, we never had a loader on either but if we would have then I would have wanted it on the Farmall for the foot clutch, but for field work prefered the hand clutch, JD is slightly more confortable, on the haybine the Farmall turned a might quicker so used it there and the JD on the baler, both Identical in power
