GAS MILEAGE vs Diesel Mileage

THEIR IS A LOT OF TALK OUT THEIR ABOUT THE BIG THREE PULLING POWER, MILEAGE, REAR ENDS , ECT. I CAN'T JUMP UP AND BUY ANYTHING NEW SO I WILL HAVE TO STAY WITH WHAT I HAVE. A 2000 GAS CHEVY 2500 CREWCAB 4X4 3.73 REAR VORTEC 7400 STOP AT EVERY GAS STATION TRUCK I ONLY USE IT TO PULL TRACTORS . THE POINT - I HEAR A LOT ABOUT CHIPS , CHANGING THE EXHAST V8 OR V10 IF I HAD A FEW DOLLARS TO SPEND I WOULD BUY A NOTHER TRACTOR IS THEIR ANYTHING THAT CAN IMPROVE MILEAGE WITHOUT HAVING TO SELL THE FARM?
