Go for It. I own 3 v-10's and love them all. Pull like crazy. One is in a Dodge 1 ton dually with 150K and still gets 11.5-15 mpg. The other 2 are Fords one in an Excursion pulling a 30 ft. camper (10,000 lbs.) 11.5 mpg. 14 mpg emty. Daily driver for the wife. The other is in a ford 1 ton van that I use for business pulling skidsteers and mini-excavators. 11.5 pulling 14mpg empty. Don't get me wrong, I would like to have a diesel but can't justify the price, maintenance, noise, headaches, ect. All of my equipment is diesel, but for the road in small trucks give me a gas anytine. I also have Big trucks, and yes they are diesel 4-7 mpg.
