Because the fresh air, corn and the cattle are worth the adverse times in winter. These difficult times make us appreciate the leisure we occasionally receive and it builds character. Anyone one can sit on a beach or in a lawn chair but its seldom rewarding and very boring.
I think you knew all this but wanted to here it from someone else; and, I think Iowa is a fine state.
