John ; I take it you are in eastern Oregon. I moved from Enterprise Oregon 16 months ago. Its the people that make that a good place to live. I bet thats why people live on the farm in Iowa or any farm community. I miss northeast Oregon. Dave Harley in Deer Island Or.

At least you will have some very tasty mushrooms in the spring. I miss that living here in Yexas.

I spent about an hour outside at about 10:00 the night before last thawing out a cattle waterer and adding another heater to it. Been waiting for someone to give me one good reason we stay here in Iowa.

Because the fresh air, corn and the cattle are worth the adverse times in winter. These difficult times make us appreciate the leisure we occasionally receive and it builds character. Anyone one can sit on a beach or in a lawn chair but its seldom rewarding and very boring. I think you knew all this but wanted to here it from someone else; and, I think Iowa is a fine state.

You forgot Sprint cars and Old tractors. I make the pilgrimage to Iowa a couple times a year.

Sounds to me as though you have it much worse where you are than when you were in Iowa. Maybe you need to rethink just why you left? Just kidding, and doing my best to stay warm.
