About 1947-48, and I was about 4-5, and my Dad put me on an old, 1930-38 Farmall A, in the corn field pulling a wagon. I had to slide off the seat and jump on the clutch pettle to stop, then let it out and jump back up into the seat. With two men on each side pulling a total of 4 rows, and someone getting the "down" row, we got 5 rows each pass. Everytime I goofed up, there was a bunch of ears of corn that came flying by my head. And you know it took years before I came too relize that they were not bad shots, they did not intent to hit me. But, I sure thought they were trying to at the time!!! UG!
