If the spark plugs are Champion or are resitor, hurl them into the trash. Use solid core ignition wires. Idle speed has to be 600 rpm,the coolant at 180+F and intake manifold hot for any chance to run on two cylinders at idle.
A simplex carbed two cylinder barely runs on two cylinders at idle at the best of times. That's why Mother Deere used a duplex carb in the numbered series. If the carb throttle shaft,throttle plate is worn or any vacuum leaks it's even worse.
With that compression she sounds like a all-fuel or worn gasser.
