Rick: I did a little more research about this tractor. The serial number of 457491 does not match up to either a 440 or a 435. If it was 437491 (sometimes the sn's are hard to read after all these years) it would be a 435 built as a 1960 model. These SN references are from this sites serial number list. There is a site that has a lot of information about the 440 and it's serial numbers. It is weirddeere.com Another sign that you could look for would be that the grill is quite different between the 435 and the 440. If it was a gas or all fuel it would definetly be a 440 as the 435 was only a diesel. Bob
