I had an 88 Taurus for 12 years. For about 6 years the car ate a battery every year or two. If the car sat for several days, the battery was down. Finally, after several moves, the local Ford dealer found the drain: it was a tiny worn place in a wire under the power driver seat. Replaced the section of wire - problems all solved - battery lasted and lasted after that. You will have to test each circuit until you find the one causing the drain. You will have to have the Repair Manual and the detail wiring diagrams. BIG job while doing it, and it will seem simple when you find the source of the drain.
