When I first started pulling my JD "B", I had a set of champions in it, but after pulling about 3 times they started fouling out. I tried a new set of the same plugs and sure enough after about 3 weekends of pulling they were shot. I then tried a set of autolites and they worked fine for about a year. I used that brand of plug for about 2 years and still wanted something better because if I choked it the least bit too much the Autos.. would foul. I was very skeptical about going back to Champion but my Father said to try a set of (D12 I believe) champs. I have now used the same set for almost 2 years, and have yet to replace them. They have a long wire like electrode and very low porcelian base. If I accidentally choke her to much they simply burn the excess fuel and run fine. Dad said they are used for equipment that does not run hard or for long periods of time. Well maybe thats why they do so well.
