The best plug is the one that works best in the engine.

Back when I was motorcycle mechanic we used to offer a Champion tune up. Guys with a japanese bike would install Champion plugs, it'd run terrible, we'd swap in NGK, and it would run great. Not making any claim by that story, just pointing out that it's completely opposite of your experiences with Harley.

So be it, experiment a bit and see what works well for your application.
