In August of 1925, a specially modified version of the Essex Tri-Directional Plowmaster was clocked on the Bonnyville Salt Flats at an even 100 mph. Problem was that they forgot to put brakes in that particular model and it was never seen again. Some think it might even have made it all the way to (and into) the Pacific. The test pilot was none other than the infamous Pinapple Jim Henry who we need say no more about since his exploits are so well known.
